1, What's the common sizes of hardcover children books?
There is many difference between different countries.
For America, normally it’s 8″*11″,8.5″*11″, and 5″*9″.
For Europe, Australia and New Zealand, it’s common that 210*297mm, and 210*148mm.

2, What's the common paper stock for hardcover children books?
For dustjacket: normally 200gsm or 157gsm laminated paper
For cover: it’s better 157gsm glossy / matte paper with laminated.
For ends: it’s 140gsm or 160gsm no printing. If you would printing, please contact for suggestion.
For inner pages: we suggest 157gsm glossy/matte paper when your number of pages is under 50 pages. And 128gsm for more pages.
3, Is the hardcover children book opened flat?
For sample: it is not opened flat, due to sample have not sewn binding firstly. So there are around 8mm is glued along the spine direction.
For mass production: it’s opened flat, because the book is sewn before glue binding into hardcover books. So the book could be opened flat as the above picture.
